신랑과 셀프 스튜디오 위에서 사진을 찍고 포항으로 출발하기 전에 점심을 먹었어요.

I took a picture with my husband on <Self Studio We>, and we had lunch before leaving for Pohang.

 

원래 저의 계획은 오유미당에 가는 거였는데 신랑이 너무 배부를 것 같다고 해서 근처에 있던 우동집인 우동의신에 가게 되었답니다.

Originally, my plan was to go to 오유미당(OH-UMIDANG). However, my husband said he would be too full, so I ended up going to 우동의신(GOD OF UDON), a nearby udon restaurant.

금천 광장 딱 중앙에 있고 새벽까지 열려있어서 술 마신 뒤 해장으로 가기에도 좋을 것 같아요.

It's in the center of Geumcheon Plaza and is open until dawn, so it would be a good place to go for a hangover after drinking.

 

 

 

우동 전문점답게 주메뉴가 어묵이고 특이하게 짜장면/밥과 미니족발이 있어요.

As a udon specialty restaurant, the main menu is fish cake, and uniquely, they have black bean noodles/rice and mini pig's feet.

 

그리고 여름 메뉴로 콩국수도 있답니다!

And they also have kongguksu(bean noodles) for the summer menu!

 

어묵은 즉석우동과 어묵 우동 두 종류로 매운맛을 선택해서 주문할 수 있어요.

There are two types of fish cakes, instant udon and fish cake udon, and you can choose your spiciness.

 

순한 맛, 중간 맛, 매운맛, 눈물 나게 매운맛가 있어요.

There are mild, medium, spicy, and tear-inducingly spicy.

 

저희는 중간 맛으로 어묵 우동 2개를 주문했어요.

We ordered two fish cake udon for the medium flavor.

 

그리고 주먹밥도 주문했습니다.

And I also ordered rice balls.

 

 

물은 셀프로 가지고 오시면 되고, 음식 나올 때 기본으로 단무지를 주신답니다.

You can bring water on your own, and they give you pickled radish as a standard when the food comes out.

 

추가 단무지는 셀프랍니다. ㅎㅎ

The additional pickled radish is self-service. lol

 

어묵 우동의 양은 생각보다 많았어요.

The amount of fish cake udon was larger than I thought.

 

제가 좋아하는 쑥갓도 잔뜩 들어가 있었고, 어묵도 종류별로 많이 들어가 있고요.

There were a lot of Mugwort (Ssuk), which I like, and a lot of different types of fish cakes.

 

중간 맛인데도 맵찔이에게는 좀 매웠답니다. ㅎㅎ

It was spicy to me even though it was medium spicy.

 

그리고 면발이 다른 우동집의 면보다 얇았어요.

And the noodles were thinner than the noodles of other udon restaurants.

 

라면보다는 굵고 우동보다는 얇아요.

It is thicker than ramen and thinner than udon.

 

그래서 부담스럽지 않고 더 맛있게 느껴졌어요.

So it felt less burdensome and more delicious.

 

 

그리고 주먹밥은 여자 주먹보다 조금 작은 그 정도의 크기로 2개가 나온답니다.

And two rice balls is a little smaller than a woman's fist.

 

주먹밥 안에 뭐가 들어있지는 않고 참기름이랑 소금으로 간을 하고 겉에 김 가루랑 후리카케를 묻힌 맛이에요. :)

There is nothing inside the rice ball, but it tastes like it is seasoned with sesame oil and salt and coated with seaweed powder and furikake on the outside. :)

 

면만 먹기에 좀 아쉬울 때 주문하기 좋은 듯!

I think it's a good menu to order when it's a bit sad to just eat noodles!

 

 

솔직히 우동은 어딜 가나 비슷해서 크게 기대하지 않고 먹는 편이에요.
To be honest, udon is similar wherever you go, so I tend to eat it without expecting much.

 

그런데 우동의신은 우동면이 얇은 편이고 쑥갓이 많고 매운맛을 조절할 수 있다는 점이 너무 마음에 들어서 다음에 이 근처에서 간단히 끼니를 때워야 할 일이 있으면 꼭 올 것 같아요!

But 우동의신(God of Udon) has a thin udon noodle, has a lot of mugwort, and I love that it can control the spicy taste, so I think I'll come if I have to make a quick meal around here next time!
